Who likes to party more than ewe? *groan* The image was embossed and the little sheep were flocked to give them a warm, fuzzy feeling. If you've never embossed before, give it a try. You will need embossing powder and a heat gun to melt and set the emossing powder. And no, all those stories you hear about using a blowdryer won't work as we've tried it. lol It's best to just invest in a heat gun that you can get at your local craft store. Flocking is also fun. Who doesn't like to play with glue and flock? Just don't get it all over you paws, er, hands.

Additional Info:

Stamp: Elzybells - Sheep Celebrations 2 (clear)
Accessories: Copic markers, Flock, Embossing powder, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Nestabilities, ribbon

Prince Charming or Just Another Frog?

Well, we'll have to wait and find out in another post whether she gets her Prince Charming or if it was just a regular 'ol frog. Not that there is anything wrong with frogs. We'd be more than happy to have a frog as our friend.

We've been having lots of fun with our Nestabilities, or Nesties for short. They work with our Cuttlebug machine so we didn't have to invest in another die cutting machine. Another new line of stamps we like are the Elzybells from the UK. Amuse is the North American distributor for them, but they only carry a limited line of their stamps. The Elzybells are so cute, they are well worth the shipping from the UK.

Not too sure on the colour combination, but it seemed to turn out okay.

Additional info:
Stamps: Amuse (Elzybells) - Girl and Frog
Ink: Nick Bantock - Lamp Black
Accesories: Copic markers, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folders

C is for Cookie, that's good enough for me! Penny and Rusty had to carefully put glue on the furry parts of the heads and tails without covering up too much detail of the stamped image.

Penny and Rusty loved this sheep so much that they bought another Stampendous stamp that had a different sheep in the picture (but that's another story).

Cute as a bug... a Cuttlebug

Penny and Rusty have found that one of the easiest ways to create cards are to throw in a little embossing. It adds texture and can make things "pop" when you're looking for a little something extra. And the easiest way to add embossing is with the Cuttlebug from Provo Craft. You just put your paper in one of their folders and roll it through the machine and presto!

Here are a couple of cards that Penny and Rusty have made using the Cuttlebug:

When Penny and Rusty saw the D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug pattern, they thought it would look perfect as a giant wave. In the past, Penny and Rusty would try to colour in their stamping images with water-colour pencil crayons. At the time, this seemed like a great solution but sometimes the images seemed to lack a bit of richness in the colours.

At roughly $5 per marker (when they are on sale), Copics are not the cheapest way to colour your stamped images; but they are very versatile. Copics are alcohol-based markers with dual nibs that allow you to blend your colours to create depth and shadow in your images. And with hundreds of different colours to choose from, your only problem will be on trying to figure out which ones to buy.

Here are a couple of cards that Penny and Rusty have created with Copic markers:

Here is one of the first cards Penny and Rusty made with their new Copic markers.

Additional Info
Stamps: Whipper Snapper - Muddy Pup; Stampin' Up - Happy Everything set
Paper:
Ink: Nick Bantock - Lamp Black
Accessories: Copic markers, Prima Flowers embellished with Stampendous Dot Sparkler stickers.

Here's a cute turtle card that Penny and Rusty made.
